Official Summary Report: East Africa ATMs, Cards and Mobile Banking Security Summit 2011 The East Africa ATMs, Cards and Mobile Banking Security Summit 2011 took place on the 13th and 14th of December, 2011 at the Laico Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. Government of Kenya officials led by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communication Dr. Bitange Ndemo and representatives from local and international public and private sector companies met with a view to addressing the main challenges in Banking and payment transactions facing the East Africa region. The Summit opened with a brief welcome remarks by Mr. Sammy Kioko the Alliance Manager of Cyber Sec Africa the organizers, who gave statistics of the current figures that Banks lost in the year 2010, Setting the pace for the deliberations on the Banking Security threats in East Africa.
